Return of the Red Eye is one of the coolest Springbok puzzles I’ve found to date. Sadly this was not a complete puzzle, 6 pieces are missing and three sets of 3D glasses. That’s right…. 3D glasses! Manufacturing date is 1984, part of the”puzzle plus series”.
I can’t show in photo the full effect but I can tell you when you put the glasses on the puzzle is amazing. I am a sucker for this kind of kitsch. I am reluctant to take it apart!
I love to thrift, finding treasures that people have thrown away. The challenge and the quiet time focusing on assembling jigsaw puzzle pieces into a final image has interested and excited me for as long as I can remember. A few years ago I noticed that thrift stores always have a fully stocked "puzzles and games" section. Finally an endless supply of new puzzles to solve and a reason to keep thrifting!
