Well, I found a few puzzles recently that I never really expected I’d find at the thrift stores. I found a Josie Lewis Art rainbow puzzle – Josie Lewis is a big time favourite amongst many puzzlers. I’m sure I’ll be assembling that one soon enough, it looks so fun!

And then, I found this beauty! Aimee Stewart’s Drops of Color. I’ve always really wanted to do this puzzle, but of course, I don’t often buy puzzles brand new. So I just always assumed I wasn’t going to get to try this one. I know how much puzzlers out there love this puzzle too so I was resigned.

I just knew this would be so fun to put together! I took my time with this, I probably could have sped my way through this but I only assembled a couple colour patches in a sitting, and then I put it away for the next round of puzzling.

I just love the meditative zone you can get into with a puzzle like this, just focusing on shades, colour saturation, and shapes. It’s super satisfying to me! My favourite section in this puzzle was the greens and blues into the purple.

But then those pinks and oranges are pretty too!
I think I’m gonna hold onto this one for a while, I’ll probably want to do it a few more times, try different approaches. This little puzzle is made by Buffalo Games, is 1000 pieces, with art by Aimee Stewart, and it’s complete!

Ha ha! My foam board has seen better days! Fun fact, Alomar really likes to bite into foam board, I guess the feeling of his teeth sinking into that soft middle must be very satisfying for him!
