Gone Fishin’

One day, Joe texted me saying “I got a surprise for you!” Then he sent a follow up text saying, “don’t get too excited though”. When he got home from work, he pulled three puzzles out of his backpack.

I mean, why wouldn’t I get excited about that? He found these in a free box on the sidewalk, a common occurrence in Halifax. Two Ravensburger puzzles, which are cute, maybe not exactly what I would purchase, but I would have picked them up from a free box too. And the third one is a Karmin International puzzle with a cool painting by Bill Bell.

Our first of the free box puzzles is this 300 large piece format of a little fishing village scene by an artist named Steve Klein. It was fun, very easy but I do sometimes like these little images of a town that feels quaint and quiet. You can tell it’s more modern, because this little town has a Tattoo Parlour, so hip!

This happy little town puzzle is 300 pieces and was missing one edge piece. I wonder if the other two puzzles are complete or not, we will have to wait and see!
