Eames Office

My next puzzle is a gorgeous 1500 piece collage puzzle celebrating design duo Charles and Ray Eames. They were a married couple that worked in many fields, but are best known for their furniture and specifically, their chair designs.

You know, these classic chairs? Naturally, with all the beautiful, simple but classic, mid century lines and curves, I am all over their work. I love it! They worked together for almost 40 years and lived in a dream of a house that they designed, the Eames House or Case Study House No. 8, which I believe is now a museum, in Santa Monica, if I’m not mistaken?

This collage seems to feature their works in art, graphic design, furniture design and maybe even some of their inspirations when making work. I love the aesthetic of this puzzle, it was pretty fun to put this one together and it went fairly quickly for a 1500 piece puzzle.

The finished puzzle was a lot more colourful than when broken apart, which I always find so interesting.

I chose this for another puzzle along event on Instagram, the theme this time around was Cool Collages. There were a lot of fun collage puzzles that people assembled this time around, Sci-Fi poster art, VW Vans, Candies, Dogs, Cats, Vintage Lighthouses, you name it!

I’m not sure that I will ever have the cool mid century furniture (and space) of my dreams, especially not with cats! A puzzle like this allows me to daydream and enjoy the gorgeous design without the price tag or the scratched upholstery.

This little keyboard was my favourite part to puzzle together. 🙂

I purchased this off Facebook Marketplace, it’s 1500 pieces and complete. I am trying to decide if I’ll actually want to put it together again or if I should sell it and pass it on to another puzzler. What would you do?
