We have yet another “avoid the work distractions with a smaller piece count” puzzle. This time, we have a Pomegranate 300 piece puzzle featuring gorgeous and simple artwork by Inuit Artist Kenojuak Ashevak.

I’ve been driving Joe to some evening baseball games, and they’re a little farther out of the city (conveniently close to a couple Value Villages). So one night, I dropped him off and drove to the thrift store, I found two gorgeous Pomegranate puzzles featuring Inuit artists, so I had to grab them!

Many people would recognize one of Ashevak’s most famous pieces, it’s of an owl and it’s feathers around its neck are fanned out in a big circle. I hadn’t seen too many of her other works though and I really loved this one.

I love the use of colour, and the variety of animals, with our wise owl in the middle. I read up on her life a bit, and it seems like she had a rough, but at times joyful life. I am happy that Pomegranate showcases many different types of art, if you look on their website, there really is something for everyone.
They also celebrate diversity in art, which I really appreciate. I get to explore art and learn about different artists and their life experiences through my favourite pastime.

This lovely little puzzle is 300 pieces and complete!
