Girl’s Night In

Well, we have a strange little puzzle here. It’s released by Karmin International or KI Puzzles. My Building Manager passed this on to me, she received it for Christmas and gave it to me when she was finished with it.

Something about this puzzle really drew me in, I can’t say exactly what it was! There are so many odd aspects to the image and the content doesn’t exactly resonate with me but I did want to put it together.

I mean, what is happening here?!

We’ve got a cat applying mascara with it’s tail, and the double palm trees wearing cat eye sunglasses.

There are flamingoes wearing high heels and eyeshadow.

And the rabbit with fancy sunglasses, nail polish, and trendy little handbag.

There’s just so many eyelashes and a lot of done up lips in this picture. It’s odd, definitely, but it was fun to put together as a puzzle.

The colour separation and the hard black outlines were a fun guideline for the puzzling, it surprised me, actually.

One more fun aspect to this puzzle, was the box had four small felt trays for sorting pieces. They snapped together at the corners and made a small-ish little sorting tray.

You may have noticed that there are four different colours on the back of the puzzle. I guess the intention is that up to four people can have a little puzzle party together. sort the pieces by colour and assemble your quadrant as you hang out with your pals.

A girl’s night in, perhaps?

A fun concept, for sure! This was 500 pieces and a pretty quick assembly. My to do pile is shrinking, slowly.
