I couldn’t help myself! We have a vintage Springbok from 1983, of a whole bunch of teddy bears in various fancy outfits, and it’s called Best of Friends. I don’t know if it could be any more kitschy classic Springbok than this.

Look at the sweet little safety eyes, I actually just learned that’s what those type of plastic teddy eyeballs are called – safety eyes. I’m assuming we’re referring to them being safe for kids? It think it has something to do with how they attach, and maybe they’re harder to fall off.

We were missing a few pieces, which was a bit of a shame. I did really think this was pretty funny and would have maybe kept this in my collection for a while. But, we were missing 13 pieces if I counted right.

I just love all these sweet little goofy characters, I think maybe this is a ballerina, or a fairy teddy bear.
Then we have the new parents, with their little baby bear cradled in their arms.

Although, one detail I couldn’t help but notice is that there is a shy little Panda Bear in the bottom left corner who maybe hasn’t made their friends just yet. Sweet little panda!

It does look a little melancholy.

This is what the complete image was supposed to look like, but I kind of appreciate the randomness of a puzzle with missing pieces. This one had a good scatter.

500 pieces, missing 13, by Springbok in 1983. They really dominate the kitschy classic puzzles from the 80s, and as you may be able to glean, I am a fan.

Safety Eye!
