Star Wars

I picked up a Star Wars puzzle for a puzzle along on Instagram that I was participating in. The theme was Heroes vs. Villains, I did put together the Alien puzzle for this puzzle along as well, and felt this was a nice compliment for the week.

I don’t know I would have purchased this otherwise, and I have to say that I enjoyed this much more than expected! I like a 300 piecer now and then, but what I really enjoyed was the very vintage aesthetic this puzzle had.

Naturally I’m aware that this is from the first movie, so yes, of course it’s a vintage style. But what I picked up on was the composition, the colour saturation and even the pieces. Buffalo Games can be hit and miss, but this puzzle was 100% a HIT.

This took me back to when I found a couple vintage Milton Bradley Star Wars puzzles, they were promo from the early years, the quality was so so and they were incomplete so I did end up passing them on. But this puzzle, as surprising as it is to me will likely stick around in my collection a little longer.

I think that Joe would enjoy putting it together with me too

300 pieces, complete and released by Buffalo Games.

I found a photo of one of the Milton Bradley puzzles, it’s pretty blurry and the colour balance is completely off, but what an I say, I used to love a lot of Instagram filters! This is from a time before this little online archive that I started. I think this was around Feb 2014 if I’m not mistaken.
