Neoclassical Collection

We have a classic 90s Springbok on our hands here!

Sometimes, I picture the design team sitting around a boardroom table, pondering over what to publish for the season’s collection. Settling on the weirdest images, thinking – “this! this is the one!”.

And we are presented with Neoclassical Collection. This is a reach, ha ha! But people bought it, heck, I bought it!

I get the pillars, the reference to the Ancient Greek style architecture, but let us just focus in on a few of the details, shall we?

Teeny baroque style dollhouse setup, a harp, and Louis the 14th reminiscent gilded furniture pieces. Let’s also notice the seashells, very coastal grandma chic.

Naturally some butterflies and crystals.

And what neoclassical image would be complete without some creepy Edwardian style doll heads?

Throw in some glass vases and trinkets from the 90s and you got yourself a puzzle!

Now this may seem too ridiculous and chaotic for some, but it’s just the right kind of odd for me. I see this, and I think, woah…. I want to put that together. So you pick it up from the thrift store, bring it home and crack into it one night.

You’re sucked in right away and before you know it, you’ve spent two hours thinking about the 90s and you have a complete puzzle on your table.

Thanks to that design team from Springbok in the 90s, you really did it. It’s a bizarre kitschy masterpiece, and I wouldn’t expect anything less from you.

Over 500 pieces, complete and good fun.
