Stuffed With Memories

I love these types of vintage dolls, little creatures that are narrow and flat like this, the fabric may have the print on it, or there’s very little sewn in detailing. I made a little silk screened doll like this back when I lived in Berlin. I went to a free silkscreening workshop, we made tote bags and little cat stuffies similar in style to these dolls.

I wonder if these little toys were new at the time this was photographed, probably. They look very clean and in good condition, so I’m going to guess that they were.

This little puzz dates back to 1998, and it’s from that snug fit Springbok era. I do love how solid Springbok puzzles can be, but sometimes they can get a bit too snug.

That being said, this one was not that. It was perfectly solid, I didn’t have to jam the pieces in like I have in the past.

And would this image even be complete without a clown doll? It definitely looks like it’s scheming, I love it!

All in all, this was a fun little 500 piecer, colourful, charming and with the perfect dose of clown. I found this at a Value Village in the summer, 500 pieces and complete.
