Arctic Circle

What were you up to in 1995?

I was in Grade seven at school and getting ready to head to Highschool in September. I was a pretty shy kid, but my grade eight year was pretty good, I went to a school called Kitsilano for that one year. After that, I went to Magee Secondary from grade nine onward, and that was actually pretty awful in comparison.

Kits was better suited to a more grunge and alternative type, which I most definitely was. Magee, not so much, all the rich kids went there, and there was definitely a very snobby group of kids.

Why am I talking about this? Well, this gorgeous puzzle was released in 1995 and I was reminiscing about my fun year of Highschool at Kits. After I changed schools, I started doing puzzles more often, ha ha, I certainly didn’t go to too many school events.

14 year old me would have really liked this puzzle, what with the nature themes and animals. And current me really liked it too, not much has changed!

This was sadly incomplete, which is a shame, because it’s so pretty. But at the very least, I got to assemble most of it, and I had a great time!

I’m actually getting ready for a vintage market, I’ll be selling vintage puzzles, if anyone finds that interesting! I was hoping this would be complete, because of the winter aspect, seeing as this is a Christmas market, I’m aiming for a nice collection of winter and Christmas puzzles!

The artist’s name is Janet Skiles, released by the Great American Puzzle Factory, a true favourite of mine. Missing three pieces.
