Claire Giraffe

Claire Giraffe is a fancy giraffe, with a lovely floral crown and those luscious long eyelashes. She was a mini puzzle that came in one of those test tube type of containers, it looked to be that it was sold at Homesense originally. I naturally found it at a thrift store, and typically pick up most minis that I come across, Joe’s mom absolutely loves giraffes so I thought it could be a puzzle that I pass on to her.

I’m sorry to say that this tiny little puzzle was terrible quality, you can probably see above that the pieces were only two shapes, and all look virtually the same. Needless to say, I did not pass this on to Joe’s mom, that would have been a bit cruel.

I honestly forget what the brand of this puzzle was, it wasn’t a familiar name to me, definitely not any of the mini puzzle brands that I’ve done before this. She went back to the thrift store!

  1. Hi, I just found your site because I did this exact same mini puzzle! So nice to find other people who enjoy thrifting old puzzles and sharing about them like I do.

    1. Hi Jeane, I’m happy that you found thepuzzlesivedone.ca! Thanks for your comments, I love connecting with people that have completed the same puzzles too, that’s so fun! I’m in Atlantic Canada, I wonder if we go to the same thrift stores?? That would be wild. – Lina

      1. I’m in Virginia, US- so not likely! there’s four thrift stores here that I rotate between, and several public libraries that arrange puzzle swaps too. And an online trading group I belong to. Can’t have too much puzzle love!
