Jiffy Jigsaws: Raccoon

Jiffy Jigsaws! A 60 minute puzzle, at 144 pieces these puzzles were designed to take 60 minutes or less. Take a break and assemble a puzz! Parker Brothers was a popular Canadian Puzzle company during the 60s and 70s, but I do believe they were around for a much longer time and well into the 1980s or even 1990s.

I’ve never seen a Jiffy Jigsaw before, but I instantly fell in love with this raccoon! I’ve spoken about how much I adore raccoons before, so I just couldn’t leave this guy behind.

The pieces were absolutely zany! I know that parker Brothers made some pretty interesting piece cuts before, but these were especially fun, and large.

I am bummed to report that I’m missing one piece, but thankfully it’s not the raccoon’s adorable face, I would have cried!

I wonder if this little guy was having a quick bath, or fishing, or maybe even playing? Whatever he was up to, he did the classic “stop what you’re doing and stare” move, which is one of my favourite traits.

The Jiffy Jigsaw dates back to 1970, at first, I thought I might donate it because it’s not complete. But these are rare, in my experience, so I think I’ll hold onto this little scamp for the time being.
