Mosaic of Bacchus

Buckle in friends, I have a story to share!

Back in early August, I was scrolling Facebook Marketplace as I’ve been know to do. I came across a listing for a stack of 12 vintage Springbok puzzles, many of them from the 80s and 90s but three of them from the late 1960s and a couple early 1970s puzzles all for 20 bucks!

This was one of the first ones that caught my eye, Mosaic of Bacchus, a vintage Springbok puzzle from 1969. When I tell you just how special this puzzle was to assemble, the perfect fit of the pieces, the glossy finish of the image, the red paper backing, the deer logo, I just love all of the aspects to a vintage Springbok.

They really don’t make them like they used to!

I am very excited to share the rest of the puzzles I acquired in this sale!

My parents were just in town for a visit and my mum can be persuaded from time to time to work on a puzzle so I pulled it off the shelf 🙂

I love mosaic tile work so much! I just love how all these tiny pieces come together to make a complete and in my opinion gorgeous image, kind of like a puzzle, I guess!

This was a really fun puzzle to work on too, the seller said that all of her puzzles were complete, but there’s always a chance. So yes, confirming that this is a complete puzzle and it is so stunning, I can’t wait to pull another one out of this special stack of vintage Springboks!
