Bon Voyage

Another from the Springbok Puzzle PLUS series, Bon Voyage! This puzzle would have originally come with a replica vintage travel sticker, and as is always the case, the PLUS was no longer in the box with the puzzle. One day, I want to find a Puzzle PLUS with the PLUS still included in the box, that would be something.

The image is pretty fun, it’s a little brown but I was really enjoying the little text and image windows of the travel stickers stuck on the suitcase. I also really love the graphic and font of the box title, pictured above.

I decided to just start from the inside and work my way out, seeing as the border was mostly brown and not as defined as the stickers. This was not a hard puzzle though, it went together pretty smoothly and once I was left with the outer edges that were darker, there were not too many pieces to choose from so it took no time at all!

This type of imagery always makes me think of Agatha Christie books, picturing Poirot or Marple in some vacation spot like the Nile, or somewhere in Europe, it’s classic Christie. The covers of some of the older Agatha Christie paperbacks are reminiscent of this style of image too, it’s a little bit camp and I am here to enjoy and appreciate!

This little gem is 500 pieces and complete! This dates back to 1990, she’s a good one.
