I could really watch some Star Wars movies about now! I absolutely love A New Hope, it’s so classic and must have been so amazing to see at the time of its release. A friend of mine did actually see the movie in theatres as a teen at one of Vancouver’s best Art Deco movie theatres – the Vogue – now a live performance venue in the city. But how amazing would that be?!

Now this is not an original merchandise release, I’ve actually had a couple of those in the past from Parker Bros. (long before thepuzzlesivedone blog was started) I have posted a an old photo of one of them in this Star Wars Buffalo Games puzzle post, you’ll have scroll all the way to the bottom to see a very blurred out old Instagram post.
Hot take here, those original Star Wars Parker Bros. puzzles are not the best quality, they are cool for what they are and their age but in terms of the actual product, not my fave.

This puzzle was released in 1995 by the Brand Milton Bradley, so it is a vintage puzzle and one by a brand that I do enjoy. I also love love love that it is a holographic puzzle! I just think that makes it so very cool!

Now, I did my best to capture the shimmer of this puzzle in pictures. That’s always a hard task but if you look at C-3PO’s chest, hopefully you can pick up on a little bit of that shine. I also love that this is not a photo that has gotten the holographic treatment but an illustration. These are all recognizable faces and characters but there’s something just a little off in their depiction in this puzzle, which just makes this even better, in my opinion!

Fabulous, just fabulous! This little gem was assembled over this past weekend, while Joe was out closing up the garden for the winter. I’m getting pretty excited for the winter, I’ll tell you that, cosy nights inside and cold and fresh days in all the knitted items! 550 pieces and complete.
