Shelter in the Branches

We all know that I love animals, and animal puzzles and I especially love the Great American Puzzle Factory puzzles. I was very excited to assemble this puzzle, it features so much that I adore!

This is a stunning panoramic length images of a sort of collage pf animals taking shelter in the forest. The painter is Barbara Wallace and I am so in love with the style of this image! The colours are stunning and I just love the line work and shading. If I found a print of something like this, i would 100% frame and hang it up.

Sadly, as you can probably see above in the photo, my puzzle was missing pieces, I was a little bummed about that, I would have definitely kept this in my collection to do over again. But this is the nature of second hand puzzles, I may be really excited for a particular puzzle only to discover that it is incomplete.

But if you’ve been reading my blog for any period of time, you may be aware that I come across a lot more complete puzzles than incomplete ones, it can just sting a little when I am really excited for a particular puzzle.

This puzzle dates back to 1996, it’s 500 pieces and I think it was missing 4 pieces, it can be a hard to tell when you’re dealing with a random cut puzzle, but it looks like 4 to me!
