Elvis

Back in Grade 10 English class, we were assigned a project where we were asked to choose someone from the past or present that we wanted to interview. We were asked to research them, write an essay and then perform a skit for the class.

My friend and I chose Elvis because we wanted to wear vintage clothing, and I knew some Elvis songs to lip sync with minimal practice.

My teacher absolutely loved it, and it was one of the only English projects that I received a fairly high mark. I think she may have been an Elvis fan, actually.

This puzzle from Milton Bradley had me thinking about that project, dressing up as Elvis and lip-syncing “It’s Now or Never” to my class. None of my classmates, or my teacher, for that matter, had ever seen my goofy hammy side, so I definitely surprised a lot of people that day. I had so much fun, that I let that side out more often at school, I just stopped worrying about what other kids thought about me.

This is a 550 piece puzzle from 1992 and it was complete! Thanks for the memories, Elvis.
