Well, I’ve said it before and I’ll likely be saying this for years to come, Joe knows how to pick out a good puzzle. I have to admit, I passed over this, I found it a bit basic, I also didn’t love how faint the images and colour saturation seemed.

But lately, after I do a sweep of the puzzle section at any thrift store, Joe heads over there and checks it out too. Sometimes he’ll point out one that I completely missed, like a cool vintage Bok or something, and sometimes he just picks out one that he is drawn to. Like a bird puzzle.

Since this is an older Buffalo games puzzle, I knew the quality would be pretty solid, so we bought it. As a matter of fact, Joe even started assembling this himself! He has been learning more and more about birds, and does enjoy a bird watch now and then, so he pulled this out and assembled all the birds and the border.

He then lost interest and I got to fill in the sky and the fence with the leaves. Ha ha, the harder part of course, but again, Buffalo Games is good quality so I had steady progress. I ended up having a great time, I love when we have a joint puzzle project, even if we aren’t working on it at the exact same time, it’s still nice that we both worked on it!

And you know what? The final puzzle was gorgeous. I think the box was a little sun faded, because the colours in the puzzle were much more vibrant, just like these feathered friends are in real life.
This puzzle is 750 pieces, complete and made by Buffalo Games in the early 2000s.
