Whistle Stop

Ok, so I did not expect to enjoy this puzzle as much as I did! I see this puzzle fairly often at the thrift stores, it’s not particularly rare and I’ve always thought about picking it up, but usually ended up leaving it behind for reasons.

Like possibly, I’ve already found a good haul of cool puzzles, sometimes I tell myself it won’t be very fun, or colourful, I’m also not huge into trains or anything like that. But, I finally picked up a copy this past autumn. I was gearing up to my vintage puzzles sale and I wanted to have a variety of images that I thought might appeal to more tastes, that I still found fun or interesting.

I remember a man asked me at last year’s market, if I had any train puzzles, which I sadly didn’t, and that always stuck with me. I thought there’s at least one train enthusiast out there that would gravitate to a puzzle like this, so why not?

I could not stop with this puzzle. I had so much fun! It was colourful and not quite as hard as I was expecting it to be. I do love miniatures, so I guess I cant really say that I’m surprised at how fun it turned out to be. I completed this in a day, it was a super fun day!

I took some pretty rushed pictures of it so unfortunately there is a bit of glare from our living room window but I did my best to capture the glory of this puzzle. I will definitely pick up another copy in the future if and when I come across one.

So, did I end up selling it? Yes, as a matter of fact I did. i think they said it was for their nephew who loves trains, that made me happy. I hope they have as much fun with this as I did!

1000 pieces from Springbok in 1990, this copy was complete and in perfect condition! If you ever find it, this is your sign to buy it, it is soooo much fun!
