I love the aesthetics of Star Trek, especially the older series with Captain Kirk and Spock, but even Star Trek : The Next Generation. Looking back at those, they definitely look pretty dated. But man, back in the 90s, I thought it looked so slick!
Now I haven’t seen other series spin-offs, apart from the Next Generation and the original series, so I will say that I am not familiar with about half of these characters. But that’s not going to stop me from doing this puzzle. I love that it’s illustrated and the bright pops of colour and the varying backgrounds.
This is a Cobble Hill release, the pieces are the classic Cobble Hill shapes but have a glossier finish instead of the usual linen finish. There are a few Star Trek puzzle images from Cobble Hill, and I believe they all have that glossy finish, the box isn’t branded with Cobble Hill’s logo like their officially released puzzles.
This puzzle has seen my puzzle board before, but it was acquired in a Marketplace deal, 6 Star Trek puzzles (5 of which are vintage from Springbok, Golden, and F.X. Schmid!) So, I decided to assemble it first and pass this on to clear out some of my puzzle collection.
