Does it get cooler than this? A Star Trek 300 piece puzzle from 1993 featuring Spock and Captain Kirk. I think I mentioned earlier this year that I bought a whole batch of vintage Star Trek puzzles off of someone on Facebook Marketplace. Puzzles released by Springbok, F.X. Schmid, Canada Games, 1 non-vintage Cobble Hill and this brand – Golden.
I have to say that I am so impressed by these vintage pop-culture Golden puzzles from the 80s and 90s. I always associated them with a flimsy piece, but this puzzle was sturdy and strong. Also, something that can happen with large piece puzzles is the pieces might not lay flat, because they’re so large and the cardboard warps or bends over time, but that hasn’t really been an issue with the Golden puzzles that I’ve come across. Remember Uncle Scrooge? The Lion King?
I am trying to spread these out over the year, I don’t want the content to get too Trekky all at once, I guess that would be ok, but I do like to balance out the content between cats, sci-fi, wilderness animals and oddball illustrations! But, we must admit that the aesthetics of Star Trek are so good.
This gem is 300 pieces, complete and in mint condition.
