I found a sweet little vintage F.X. Schmid 25 piece mini puzzle, it has no date on the box but this one differs from the minis that I’ve found in the past – Sweeties: Sleeping Dog, Cats of the Wild: Lynx, and Safari Adventure and Tigers – these three minis are from the late 90s and while I couldn’t say for sure, I’d guess this mini is from the 80s.
Why do I think it’s older than the others? Well, the box is very strong and well built, typical of older makes, the text on the puzzle has a more dated feel, it’s feels late 70s in style to me, this style really carried into the early 80s in graphic design and aesthetics. The other indicator I have is the F.X. Schmid logo on the box is black, most of the older puzzles that I can find online manufactured by them have a black logo instead of a vibrant blue logo (used in the 90s and early 2000s.

This is an impossibly adorable photo of a cat in a tree, he looks like a little Koala! I love it.
Again, I don’t know when this is from, but it is vintage, the puzzle is complete and the fit of the pieces a little loose but never an issue when it comes to a mini puzzle, in my opinion. I found this at a thrift store recently and I will cherish it!
