Who out there likes coffee? Do you have a ritual with your morning coffee?
Joe loves an aeropress coffee in the morning, and me, I use a percolator. I tend to prep it at night so I can shuffle over to the stove and just get things brewing!
I would consider myself a morning person, but I am pretty hopeless first thing after waking up. It takes a while for my eyes to focus and my mind to sharpen, so an evening coffee prep helps a lot!
Alomar usually comes out from the bedroom for a morning snuggle, I often pick him up and he’ll sit over my shoulder and purr like a lawnmower. You might think I’m exaggerating, but I am serious, his purr is the strongest purr I’ve heard to date. Sometimes you can hear him from all the way across the room.
Usually, while I wait for my coffee to brew, I’ll take him to the window for a little bit of birdwatching, or he can survey his territory for any dangers lurking.
Then, when my coffee is ready, I’ll sit with my little buddy Alomar for more snuggles and a slow and steady wake up.
I usually only have one coffee a day, otherwise, I get a bit too wired. I am certain that the caffeine is needed at this point, but I have a morning coffee because I love the flavour in the morning.
I used to drink tea in the mornings, and I honestly can’t recall when I switched over. Maybe when I lived in Germany and the places that I stayed had percolators. That could be about right.
This was a quick little 500 piecer by Galison, we had a rainy weekend which was the perfect moment for a little quick and easy puzzle.
I picked this up at the thrift store and it is complete!
