When I was a kid, I loved the work of Vincent Van Gogh. I was learning about artists in school and something about his painting really spoke to me. I was fascinated by his personal story as well. This painting is called The Wheat Field, and must have been purchased as a souvenir from the Toledo Museum of Art. I found this at Value Village, the box says ‘A Fine Art Jigsaw Puzzle’ produced and distributed by Battle Road Press. It is over 500 pieces and is complete.
I love to thrift, finding treasures that people have thrown away. The challenge and the quiet time focusing on assembling jigsaw puzzle pieces into a final image has interested and excited me for as long as I can remember. A few years ago I noticed that thrift stores always have a fully stocked "puzzles and games" section. Finally an endless supply of new puzzles to solve and a reason to keep thrifting!
