Another Springbok classic, 500 pieces, complete. Found at the M.C.C. Thrift Store in Vancouver. I didn’t realise this but the Paradise Garden Quilt is a real quilt in the Spencer Museum of Arts Collection. A woman named Rose Frances Good Kretsinger made this quilt in 1946 and eventually gave it as a gift to the museum. It is a full sized quilt, I tried to photograph some of the detail in the puzzle but I encourage interested readers to Google the quilt.
I love to thrift, finding treasures that people have thrown away. The challenge and the quiet time focusing on assembling jigsaw puzzle pieces into a final image has interested and excited me for as long as I can remember. A few years ago I noticed that thrift stores always have a fully stocked "puzzles and games" section. Finally an endless supply of new puzzles to solve and a reason to keep thrifting!
