What a find this was!! A vintage Guild puzzle, 304 pieces, machine cut sturdy pieces. The original price on the box… 29¢.
I paid more for that in the store! My mom and Grandma helped in the assembly of this puzzle. They’re the ones who taught me some puzzling skills when I was a little kid.
The final detail I love, is the cat in the photo is just like my cat, Chester!
I love to thrift, finding treasures that people have thrown away. The challenge and the quiet time focusing on assembling jigsaw puzzle pieces into a final image has interested and excited me for as long as I can remember. A few years ago I noticed that thrift stores always have a fully stocked "puzzles and games" section. Finally an endless supply of new puzzles to solve and a reason to keep thrifting!
