I’ve become pretty expert at spotting that Pomegranate puzzle box at the thrift store. If I see one, I pounce. I’m usually the only person in the puzzle section but I pounce like everyone is going for it.
This amazing image is by Canadian Painter, Darlene Kulig. I absolutely loved putting this puzzle together, there were distinct sections that were easy to identify and made you feel like you were consistently moving forward. It was on the easier side but the picture was so beautiful to watch coming together! 1000 pieces and complete!
I especially loved the detail of the two women in the painting.
I love to thrift, finding treasures that people have thrown away. The challenge and the quiet time focusing on assembling jigsaw puzzle pieces into a final image has interested and excited me for as long as I can remember. A few years ago I noticed that thrift stores always have a fully stocked "puzzles and games" section. Finally an endless supply of new puzzles to solve and a reason to keep thrifting!
