Well, this is a new rabbit hole! Warren Paper Products based out of Lafayette, Indiana, manufacturing puzzles from 1947 to 1986.

To be totally transparent, I bought this for this gorgeous box. With a bonus – sheep – you can’t keep the knitter in me out of my puzzle content.
The graphics on these vintage boxes are amazing, and there’s really nothing quite like them out there these days, and that’s ok! What I love about these graphics and boxes, is that they are so true to the aesthetic of the time they’re from. The atomic era, or the colours of the 70s and 80s, they just fit so well in their time period, and that is so irresistible to me. I just can’t help falling for them.

This could be said for many puzzles being made today, Cloudberries started in the all-grey decor heyday and in my opinion, you can tell. Other brands like LePuzz ( which I’ve never done, but have heard great things) really suit the Maximalist style while echoing vintage Springbok, whom the owners of LePuzz are very open about.
Maybe people don’t find this interesting, but I am fascinated with this, dare I call it trendsetting (and following) in design?

Around this point in the puzzle, this is where I noticed that I would be missing some pieces! Ha ha, how many exactly was the next question.

I count 28, not the most incomplete puzzle I’ve ever had, not the least either. This puzzle reminds me so much of the puzzle that my friend Janet found in her apartment she had lived in for 20 plus years, it was tucked away in a closet she was cleaning.
It’s not really the same but the vibe is, if that makes sense?

Just sort of a generic image, not super interesting, but something really draws me in. Again, it’s a moment in time, in design, in aesthetic, in values of a society. I am fascinated!

Check out these fabulous piece shapes!
