UNICEF – The Earth is but one Country

I came across another UNICEF brand puzzle. I did my first one last year in August and really enjoyed the quality, that I thought I’d check out their round puzzles too.

I really like the slight rainbow aspect to this image, the animals, and the galaxy in the middle. Then all the kids holding hands, wearing more traditional dress, makes me think of things like Hands Across America or the song We Are the World. It feels very late eighties and early nineties to me.

Which isn’t a bad thing, I just think it has a particular ring to it. This puzzle was made in the Federal Republic of Germany, as it says on its border.

This little 200 piecer was missing a couple of pieces, but it was a fun and quick evening puzzle to assemble.

  1. OMG thanks soooo much for posting 🙏🏻. I have been thinking about this very puzzle so often lately, it is etched on my mind from my childhood, it is a depiction of my vision for the world 🥰. Today I finally decided to look for it online, and here it is…

I was born in 1973 so I would say the original puzzle would be from the late 70’s early 80’s. I think I was around 8, I must have made it a hundred times. Scarily enough, that girl on the cover even looks so like me at that age. Same haircut 😂.

It’s even more beautiful than I remembered. Thank you thank you thank you.

    1. Hi Gabriella, what a lovely story and memory! Thank you for sharing 🙂

Apologies for the delay, I was out of town and took a little time of the blog. But it was so nice to come home and read this. Thanks for sharing what you can remember about the approximate date on these puzzles, too.

They’re definitely very cool and I love coming across them from time to time!
      All the best, Lina
