Remember the 90s and early 2000s Anne Geddies domination in the calendar, poster, and general paper products game? No? Well, I certainly do!

So, it’s not uncommon to come across full size puzzles featuring these bizarre photos, but minis, that’s a different story.
Nothing, and I do mean nothing, would tempt me to assemble a 500 piece or larger of her work. Honestly, I couldn’t think of a worse image to puzzle! Her photo composition is always so sparse and monotone, not to mention downright weird.

Some readers may disagree with me, but I just find her work so weird. What’s with babies? It’s tacky, it’s uncomfortable, and it’s cringey.

So why then did I buy these?
Why, for the kitsch of it, of course!

These little things were released by Ceaco in 1997, they take me back to wandering around the mall with friends and seeing her photos in Hallmark stores when I was 15.
Worth it!
I used to print photos for a photographer who was a student of Anne Geddes, her name was Fiona Allison. Can’t say I was ever inspired by this type of photography but it was very popular back in the day. As for Jigsaws I think I’d be pulling my hair out . 😂

Thanks for your comment! Apologies that I took a while to respond. Her photos were certainly an odd aesthetic, but you’re right, so popular back then! I found two more of these minis in the thrift store today, I left them for someone else to pick up 🙂 ha ha ha!
