The Simpsons

I am sure that I will never pass up a vintage Simpsons puzzle image. There is much too much nostalgia packed in there for me, personally. This 1000 piecer is from a company called Danawares, it was released in 2004 and was originally sold at Sears, (it still has the Sears price tag on the box).

This puzzle was the busiest Simpsons puzzle I’ve ever done, I thought that maybe it was the exact same image as the Simpsons 3D Puzzle Ball I assembled a couple of years ago and in taking a closer look that seems to be the case. The sphere was only 240 pieces though so it was much easier than a 1000 piece version was, even without the round 3D element.

I just love that they didn’t skip out on any characters, even some cameo ones, so the most obscure Simpsons moments surface when you are assembling this puzzle. For a fan, this is so much fun, and you’ll find yourself even laughing out loud sometimes!

I’m trying to think of some of my favourite cameos over the years, I just asked Joe and he said that he loves when James Woods appeared and was working at the Kwik-E-Mart, he especially loved when he’s cleaning out the microwave and swearing up a storm. Another moment he loves is when Sonic Youth is raiding Peter Frampton’s cooler in the Hullabalooza episode.

I absolutely love the softball episode, when Mr. Burns hires all the professional baseball players to work at the power plant so they can play on the company softball team. Comedy gold.

This 1000 piecer is complete and had me reminiscing about all the episodes I loved as a teen in the 90s and still quote to this day. See my one other Simpsons puzzle from the past ten years, I hope that I find more in the future!
