Are you a fan of a crossword puzzle? Brain teasers? Sudokus? Let me know!

I have to say that I’m really not drawn to a crossword puzzle, I have completed some in the past, and I will say that I felt a huge sense of accomplishment at that. However, most crosswords I try feel either too hard or too simple, why is there never just a medium vocabulary level crossword out there?

I can imagine that you are likely wondering right about now, if I’m not a fan, then why pick this up?
Well, of course, I can’t resist a vintage puzzle, and a vintage F.X. Schmid is a great option. And we know that I joy a challenge, I peeked at the pieces and saw that this was a blank crossword template that you are then meant to write your answers onto the puzzle itself. Naturally I thought that would be a super fun challenge!

I also noticed that the pieces were still sealed in the original bag so this was a never before touched vintage F.X. Schmid jigsaw challenge puzzle, at that point, I was locked in!
Was it tough? Yes, but not an impossible challenge, it was a slow start but I found steady progress by about one quarter of the way in. I had a lot of fun, actually. And the quality was fantastic!

Now, I didn’t use the enclosed dry erase pen and write my answers on the puzzle, I took a photo and printed it out and filled my answers in on the paper. After all my ranting above, I’d say that this was a medium vocab level crossword! I did actually complete it and I enjoyed it.
This puzzle is a 600 piece puzzle from 1994, it wasn’t packed full of older pop culture references which can be a risk with an older crossword. It was pretty do-able! See the only other Crossword jigsaw I’ve completed – Double Dilemma from Springbok.
