It has been a while since I’ve opened up a brand new puzzle. Knowledge that the puzzle is complete, unless my cat hides pieces on me….

For my birthday this year my very good friend who lives in Edmonton sent me a brand new puzzle. We both share a love of that vintage aesthetic, tiki, airstream trailers, Hawaii in the sixties, bright colours, cool looking cars, fabulous prints, need I say more? I’m sure that when she saw this puzzle she grabbed it immediately knowing just how much I would love it. Thank you Barb!! I love it!

I’ve never done a Hennessey puzzle before, the pieces are strong, unusually shaped and brightly coloured. The puzzle is also a product of the united states, which is rare these days.  Here is a close up of my two favorites.

I love to thrift, finding treasures that people have thrown away. The challenge and the quiet time focusing on assembling jigsaw puzzle pieces into a final image has interested and excited me for as long as I can remember. A few years ago I noticed that thrift stores always have a fully stocked "puzzles and games" section. Finally an endless supply of new puzzles to solve and a reason to keep thrifting!
