Collie with Kitten

A handsome portrait of two best friends, aptly titled Collie with Kitten. No mystery whatsoever about what you are getting. This is a 240 piece F.X. Schmid puzzle. F.X. Schmid is a branch of children’s games and Puzzles by German company Ravensburger, the pieces are strong but fit together loosely. Chester (my cat) destroyed the puzzle a couple of times before I photographed it. If you have pets, this is a tough brand of puzzle to work with. That being said, a very reliable and beautiful quality of Puzzle.

I love to thrift, finding treasures that people have thrown away. The challenge and the quiet time focusing on assembling jigsaw puzzle pieces into a final image has interested and excited me for as long as I can remember. A few years ago I noticed that thrift stores always have a fully stocked "puzzles and games" section. Finally an endless supply of new puzzles to solve and a reason to keep thrifting!
