Collector’s plates, a puzzle by Nordevco from 1980. The back of the box asks “What are Collector’s Plates?”
A few fun facts are shared about plate collecting and manufacturers. Apparently, in 1980, collecting plates was the third most popular hobby after stamp and coin collecting in the United States. It made me wonder if this was still true.
Here is a close up of the Snoopy plate. And the one missing piece.
I love to thrift, finding treasures that people have thrown away. The challenge and the quiet time focusing on assembling jigsaw puzzle pieces into a final image has interested and excited me for as long as I can remember. A few years ago I noticed that thrift stores always have a fully stocked "puzzles and games" section. Finally an endless supply of new puzzles to solve and a reason to keep thrifting!
