Milton Bradley for the win again! This time we travel back to 1967, a king size round puzzle depicting Pikes Peak in Colorado. The gorgeous pink colour is a type of granite called “Pikes Peak granite” the colour is thanks to a large concentration of Potassium feldspar. The puzzle is “nearly 1000 pieces” and complete, for being 53 years old, it is incredible shape, none of the pieces are bent or coming apart. A treasure!
I love to thrift, finding treasures that people have thrown away. The challenge and the quiet time focusing on assembling jigsaw puzzle pieces into a final image has interested and excited me for as long as I can remember. A few years ago I noticed that thrift stores always have a fully stocked "puzzles and games" section. Finally an endless supply of new puzzles to solve and a reason to keep thrifting!
