Flying Rainbows

Back in December when I found my gorgeous vintage Springbok Rainbow Jelly Beans puzzle, I had also found this stunner. I do always keep an eye out for James Hamilton puzzles.

The fit is a little loose, but they’re always such lovely quality puzzles, and always wildlife themed (in my experience). So, naturally I had to get this one too!

This was actually pretty challenging, I worked on this over a couple of evenings. I’ve been really into some larger piece count puzzles lately. I’ve got a few 2000 piece puzzles waiting to be assembled, too. I like the fact that they take a little more time and that they’re so impressive when they’re finished!

I always love the details and colours on these James Hamilton puzzles. This puzzle was found at the good Value Village in town, 1500 pieces and complete.

I love to thrift, finding treasures that people have thrown away. The challenge and the quiet time focusing on assembling jigsaw puzzle pieces into a final image has interested and excited me for as long as I can remember. A few years ago I noticed that thrift stores always have a fully stocked "puzzles and games" section. Finally an endless supply of new puzzles to solve and a reason to keep thrifting!
