Areaware makes these adorable little food thing puzzles. You may recall the Broccoli puzzle I assembled about a year ago. Well, I found another one, unopened at the thrift store.

ICE CREAM! My all time favourite, I can’t think of anything better than ice cream on a hot summer day. When I saw this puzzle, I knew this had to come home with me.

This was my final puzzle for the foodie puzzle along on Instagram last month. I had a busy week that week, so it was really nice to break it up with chats with other puzzlers around the world and dream of ice cream sundaes in the summer!

70 pieces and complete, still factory sealed and since gifted along to our friend’s daughter.

I love to thrift, finding treasures that people have thrown away. The challenge and the quiet time focusing on assembling jigsaw puzzle pieces into a final image has interested and excited me for as long as I can remember. A few years ago I noticed that thrift stores always have a fully stocked "puzzles and games" section. Finally an endless supply of new puzzles to solve and a reason to keep thrifting!
