Joe and I headed off to Calgary for the weekend to visit our friends in April. While there, we hit up a couple of thrift stores at my request. I’m always curious to see what the vintage puzzle situation is like in a place that I visit.

Well, this particular weekend, was not good for cool vintage puzzles in Calgary, sadly. But I did grab this cute puzzle by a brand I hadn’t ever tried before, Badge Bomb?

It went together pretty quickly, the quality was about 90% good. The top border was very hard to assemble for some reason, we had to wait until we got more of the top pieces in to add the border pieces on, but that was really it with the false fits.

500 pieces and complete.

I love to thrift, finding treasures that people have thrown away. The challenge and the quiet time focusing on assembling jigsaw puzzle pieces into a final image has interested and excited me for as long as I can remember. A few years ago I noticed that thrift stores always have a fully stocked "puzzles and games" section. Finally an endless supply of new puzzles to solve and a reason to keep thrifting!
