It has been a while since I’ve completed a shaped F.X. Schmid puzzle from the early 2000s. I have a few waiting in my to be completed collection too, they are such large puzzles and can sometimes feel like a pretty big commitment. Sometimes they are larger than my largest puzzle board so I will end up having to puzzle in pieces and then do a final assembly on the floor or kitchen table, not a big deal, to be honest just sometimes enough to make me choose another instead.

I have had this in my puzzle shelf for 2 years! I decided that this would be the year and wow, wow, wow, I just had so much fun assembling this puzzle. It was not to big for my large board at all, and the snowman body of the puzzle wasn’t half as tough as I thought it might be. I really need to stop listening to that inner voice of mine telling me it’ll be too hard! Ha ha ha.

Naturally I puzzled the most obvious sections first and I ended up with this pretty great outline of the invisible snowman. We’ve got a random piece cut here, complete with some sweet winter themed pieces like trees, snowpeople and candy canes. Definitely some outside the box thinking, which I always really enjoy.

The little characters in the body of the snowman were so adorable, I especially love the face planting skiing beaver, it’s too cute!

The moose with the toque? Come on! So adorable. And wait until the next photo, a little weasel or otter snow-surfing.

This puzzle ended up being so much fun and super engaging to assemble, I could not stop myself. I just love a puzzle like that. This puzzle is a full 1000 piecer, it was first released in 2002 and it is complete and just the cutest!
