Charles Wysocki – Birds of a Feather

It’s really feeling like autumn has arrived in Halifax! There are still green leaves and the weather has been warm as well as chilly, but the leaves are starting to turn, we’ve been getting a lot of fog and rain, the wind has picked up and I’ve pulled out my cool weather clothing from storage!

I felt this Charles Wysocki Americana image was an excellent fall celebratory puzzle to do! I love assembling these traditional images from his archive of work, they are fun, nostalgic for a time that I never experienced and all have a very east coast feel to them. Perfect for autumn in Halifax!

This part of the picture especially reminds me of the coastal areas you can find here, Cape Breton, Bay of Fundy, even close to Lawrencetown, I love the tall grass and the cliff in the distance.

This puzzle was unfortunately missing one piece, it’s hardly noticeable though in the full picture. I think readers know that I do not fuss about missing pieces at all. I still enjoyed my day of puzzling and this incomplete puzzle got some attention and is very deserving of a spot on thepuzzlesivedone!

This dates back to 1999 and it was released by Milton Bradley puzzles.
