Oktoberfest Cat

Oktoberfest Cat returns! This classic feline first came into my life about three years ago, I had sold the first copy that I had found at a vintage market and I was very happy to come across this cat again at a thrift store earlier this year.

This copy was missing one piece along the edge, which was a bit of a bummer. I do still intend to keep this puzzle, I absolutely love the cat’s facial expression, it is so hilarious. As a German, I don’t really get into Oktoberfest, not for the beer drinking festivities, it’s just not really my scene. I also do not connect with the Lederhosen and Dirndls, maybe it comes from not growing up in Germany, but something tells me that I wouldn’t get behind it even if I had!

The kind of Oktoberfest I can get into is this puzzle! It’s so funny and I’m just so happy that I found another copy of it. This masterpiece is by the Artist Gale Pitt and it is brilliant. The is a 500 piecer from SunsOut and I really like this particular puzzle release. The pieces are perfect, they actually have a cut similar to White Mountain Puzzles. Not always the case with SunsOut puzzles, their quality is all over the place, sometimes it awful other times they’re amazing. Similar in consistency to Eurographics, I don’t really know what’s going on there, but I’m just glad that this guy is from the good era of the brand.
