This puzzle is one of my all time favourites. The style of the late seventies/early eighties is high up there on my list of go to fashion choices. Vintage track suits, fast looking runners, bright colours, stripes, polyester, I love it all.
As you can see, this puzzle was manufactured in 1978 by The Great American Puzzle Factory. I found this at an SPCA Thrift Store in Kitsilano, Vancouver and is complete.
I love to thrift, finding treasures that people have thrown away. The challenge and the quiet time focusing on assembling jigsaw puzzle pieces into a final image has interested and excited me for as long as I can remember. A few years ago I noticed that thrift stores always have a fully stocked "puzzles and games" section. Finally an endless supply of new puzzles to solve and a reason to keep thrifting!
