On September 5th, 1856, the Great White Arabia, a sidewheel Steamboat hit a log and sank. The passengers and crew survived, but the cargo sunk to the bottom of the Missouri River. In 1988 five Steamboat enthusiasts managed to excavate the frontier supplies from the wreckage. Jewellery, china, perfume, champagne, cognac, medicine, textiles, clothing, tools, hardware, and fresh bottled food were all recovered from the sunken Steamboat.
This round Springbok 500 piece puzzle shows some of the antique buttons, thimbles, pins, hooks and scissors found on the Arabia. This puzzle was manufactured in 1992, is the first in the Steamboat Arabia series and has three missing pieces.
