The Great Smokies

A while back, I guess maybe a year ago, I found three Time Life Books- Wilderness Puzzles manufactured by Parker Brothers. I posted about the first of the others a while back and I thought I should post another one. The collage shows wildlife and plant species from the particular region. I really like this concept!

I discovered that the Great Smokies are a sub range of the Appalachian mountains, they are nicknamed smoky because of a fog that often can be seen above the range. This is caused by the plant life releasing “volatile organic compounds” which hangs in plume-like formations above the mountains.

This puzzle is 625 pieces and complete.
