A wonderful find in a thrift store in New Westminster, BC. A friend of mine treated me to a little thrifting excursion, after which, we enjoyed a delicious little Ukrainian feast. This 1000 piece puzzle by FX Schmidt manufactured in 1993 was one of my finds that day. This is the ultimate kitty puzzle, watching birds from the warm comfort of their home! Sadly, one piece missing. Here’s a photo of the finished image plus close ups of our furry and feathered friends.

I love to thrift, finding treasures that people have thrown away. The challenge and the quiet time focusing on assembling jigsaw puzzle pieces into a final image has interested and excited me for as long as I can remember. A few years ago I noticed that thrift stores always have a fully stocked "puzzles and games" section. Finally an endless supply of new puzzles to solve and a reason to keep thrifting!
