Decorative Elephant

At the thrift store a little while ago, I was strolling through the puzzle section feeling pretty unimpressed with the selection that day. I pulled out a small blank little box and opened it up to see what was inside.

The cover was blank except for “Hartmaze Puzzles” written in the centre of the cover.

What do you know! A little wooden puzzle. I’d never heard of this brand before but the quality didn’t seem all that bad so for 2 bucks, I thought why not?

The puzzle is about 200 pieces, the wood is fairly thick and sturdy, I’m sure you can see the scorch marks on the white tusk pieces, that was really the only flaw to this puzzle.

I searched where these puzzles come from, they appear to be an Amazon brand, they are pretty cheap for a wooden puzzle, I found this exact one for about $16.99. I’m not sure I would buy one new, I did find those burn marks a little too distracting and of course they detracted from the finished picture, but for my thrift store price, it was totally worth it 🙂

I will likely put this in my lobby, there is another person in our building that likes puzzles so I’m sure they’ll have fun this freebie too.
