Pop Culture

Are you well versed in pop culture?

This is where I confess, that I am not very up with pop culture. When I was a kid, my parents were younger than most of my friends parents by about 10 years, I liked the music they liked, watched the movies and shows that they watched, I hardly knew anything about the New Kids on the Block, the Babysitters Club, or Goonies.

I was a bit better versed in the stuff that my dad grew up with, he would get nostalgic over Mad Magazines, Silly Putty, Slinky, and Bazooka Joe Comics. But as a kid I was officially “out of the loop”.

Maybe as a teen, I got a bit more with it, I liked the Backstreet Boys, N’SYNC, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But let’s not assume that I was really in the know, ha ha, oh boy, never!

I did enjoy this puzzle by White Mountain Puzzles, because many of the references in this image were actually things I know about. I found it at the thrift shop recently and I just thought that it looked like so much fun!

This puzzle was 1000 pieces, missing one corner piece, and has since been traded for a puzzle of succulent plants. Coming soon! Oh, I almost forgot to mention, I puzzled this for a Famous Faces Puzzle along on Instagram. Had I been a better planner, I might have saved my Marilyn puzzle for that, but this puzzle worked for the theme too.
