Fierce Beauty

Ohhhh man, this was a challenge! I knew it was going to be tough before I even opened the box but I was a little avoidant for a couple of days after I laid all the pieces out on my puzzle board. The pieces were overall fairly moody, I could obviously spot the pieces that belonged to the tiger face. but the rest was tricky!

I just love big cats though! So I knew I really wanted to puzzle this fierce beauty. All in all, this was not super difficult. I was happy that this past weekend was a long weekend, because once I started making progress, all I wanted to do was work on it!

I wonder if this is a tiger in captivity? My guess is that it is, I hope that it was well treated and that it enjoyed it’s life. This puzzle had me thinking a lot about the Tiger King show on Netflix. What a wacky story, and quite the cast of characters. Remember at the beginning of the pandemic and everyone was watching it? That was all people could talk about on social media for a while. I know we watched it, but not right away at the peak of it’s popularity, I think a tiny bit later.

This puzzle is a 1000 piece puzzle from Springbok, I don’t know the date but I’m going to guess maybe the later 80s, simply because the fit was really good, not too tight as can be the case sometimes with a 90s release from them.

Another puzzle tiger honourable mention goes to Photomosaics – Tiger, sadly Alomar did not pose on this puzzle for a photo, but he did come and check the puzzle out a few times once it was complete.
